This was stated by COO Volodymyr Kravtsov.
According to him, in the spring of 2023, the company began collaborating with Agreena, which participates in the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM).
“We are currently looking for a trading platform to sell them profitably. The benefit from implementing such programs can reach $30-50 per hectare. We hope to receive the first funds soon,” Volodymyr Kravtsov notes.
He also adds that the primary goal of carbon programs is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
“There are several methods for reduction—decreasing the intensity (depth) of tillage and increasing carbon absorption from the atmosphere by generating additional green biomass, for example, by growing cover crops. The mechanism is quite simple: find a consultant, follow the recommendations, and within a year, you can see the first results,” he explains.
Moreover, Volodymyr Kravtsov emphasizes that these programs are long-term and provide certain synergies, as the use of extensive tillage technologies along with cover crops ultimately contributes to soil quality improvement over time.
