Students from the Kulikiv Professional Agricultural Lyceum visited Agro-Region

22. 03. 24

Agricultural Lyceum” visited the production facilities of the Agro-Region Group of Companies.

As mentioned by the company’s technical director, Mykola Nikolaychuk, the students were primarily introduced to the machinery operating in the Kyiv cluster.

“At the lyceum, they train locksmiths for agricultural machinery repair and equipment, tractor drivers-machine operators of agricultural production categories A1, A2, B1, and drivers of category C motor vehicles. On the day of the students’ visit, we received new tractors, so they had the opportunity to be the first to see modern equipment on our farm. The students also showed keen interest in seeders, cultivators, combines, and trailer equipment. We showed them the workshop where we conduct repairs for both agricultural machinery and automobiles. We are currently preparing for sowing, so much of the machinery is in disassembled condition, which greatly attracted the guests’ attention. It was impressive that the students have a high level of knowledge, some of whom I am ready to hire immediately,” commented Mykola Nikolaychuk.

In addition, a company presentation was held, conducted by the operational director Volodymyr Kravtsov, while the chief agronomist of the Agro-Region Group of Companies, Yuriy Lysak, and the chief agronomist of the Kyiv cluster, Vasyl Melnyk, acquainted the guests with the technology of cultivating the main agricultural crops on the farm.

“We planned to visit our fields, but the rain on the eve of the students’ visit prevented this. Therefore, they worked in the classroom, told about the technology of nutrition, protection, soil cultivation, etc. In general, students had the opportunity to theoretically go through the entire technological process,” adds Mykola Nikolaychuk.

After that, the students went through the route of receiving grain, getting acquainted with the main processes — the arrival of grain, drying, storage, shipment of crops to cars and wagons, at the Boryspil elevator, including a demonstration of sampling for analysis with an automatic grain sampler in a certified laboratory. The head of the Boryspil elevator Vitaliy Shevchuk and director of grain quality control Anastasia Tytarenko worked with the students.

“Not only the students, but also their teachers were impressed by the high level of automation of the Boryspil elevator,” says Mykola Nikolaychuk.

It is worth adding that the cooperation of Agro-Region with DPTN “Kulikov Professional Agrarian Lyceum” has been going on for more than a year. According to technical director Mykola Nikolaychuk, it started as part of an educational project for TractorEAST veterans. At that time, ATO veterans at the production bases of the Agro-Region Group of Companies underwent practical training and acquired skills in managing agricultural machinery and aggregates with the help of innovative and advanced technologies.
