Agro-Region Held a First Aid Training Session

31. 05. 25

A first aid training session for accident victims was recently held at the Kyiv cluster of the Agro-Region Group of Companies.

“Such training is essential for every employee because people often panic when they see an open wound or blood. Panic prevents effective assistance and valuable time is lost. We learned the basic steps to take in an emergency, practiced providing first aid for bleeding, fractures, and respiratory arrest. We were trained in how to stop different types of bleeding, perform resuscitation when breathing stops, and properly use tourniquets,” said Tetiana Muzarovska, Health and Safety Engineer.

The training was conducted by professional instructors from the Training and Course Center of ATVT “TREST Pivdenatomenerhobud,” who have hands-on experience.

“Another group is currently being prepared for the next training session, as it wasn’t possible to accommodate everyone at once,” she added.

Marina Vovchuk, Chief Accountant at “Bilyi Tsvit” LLC (part of the Agro-Region Group), emphasized the importance of such training, especially in the current circumstances.

“Taking a first aid course is not only informative but also necessary. We had the opportunity to learn the general timeline of emergency response, how to examine a victim and call an ambulance, how to recognize bleeding and apply hemostatic tools like tourniquets, how to assess consciousness, clear airways, and perform chest compressions. The instructors provided us with training tools to practice these techniques, which was very useful. Everyone was able to evaluate their skills and readiness,” she noted.

Given the current situation in the country, Agro-Region encourages all employees to complete basic first aid training.

“This knowledge is also invaluable in everyday life — knowing how to react and assist loved ones. I sincerely hope that neither we nor our families will ever have to face such situations, but as the saying goes: ‘What you know and what you can do — you don’t have to carry on your back,” Vovchuk concluded.
