Agro-Region has automated its logistics processes: more convenient, faster, more transparent

The Agro-Region Group of Companies has completed the automation of its logistics business processes.

According to IT Director Vadym Yanchuk, the key changes include the launch of a chatbot for drivers, updated route planning and vehicle allocation mechanisms, the use of AI for automatic recognition of primary documents, and improved interdepartmental coordination — transport information is now automatically accessible to all relevant teams.

Previously, transportation requests were submitted via messengers, which complicated the process and introduced unnecessary risks.

“Checking each consignment note (TTN) took a lot of time: everything was done manually with attention to details like dates, vehicle information, and signatures. After that, we had to prepare a separate Excel report for each delivery,” says logistics manager Levon Grigoryan.

According to him, automation has significantly reduced the amount of manual work, lowered the risk of errors, and sped up data processing.

The company handles around 170–190 deliveries each month, so the improvements were immediately noticeable. Centralizing data in the ERP system made it possible to manage transportation from a single location. In the future, integration with accounting is planned — this will unite all documents (requests, TTNs, invoices, acts) into a single system and allow for full control over expenses and payments.

“Of course, adapting to the new processes took some time, but the results are worth it. Today, logistics operates faster, more precisely, and without unnecessary steps,” concludes Levon Grigoryan.
