Ai Weiwei visited Agro-Region’s Kyiv Cluster

Artist and activist Ai Weiwei, known for his principled views and bold statements in the fields of art, politics, and human rights, chose the sunflower field of Agro-Region Group in the Boryspil district of Kyiv region for his upcoming installation.
His works are displayed in leading museums around the world, and he remains one of the most influential voices in contemporary art.
“It is a great honor for us to become part of his next project – the artist chose our field in Boryspil and even some paths near our office for his future installation,”
noted Aivaras Abromavicius, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Agro-Region.
At the same time, Ivan Andriyichuk, Head of the Kyiv Cluster, added that Agro-Region demonstrated to the artist the potential of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, which goes far beyond just the economy.
On a fragment of a drone, Ai Weiwei left an inscription in Chinese:
“I want to live.
Stop the war.
Protect peace.”
