Agro Forsage 2.0: Technologies That Bring Profit

Agro Forsage 2.0 – The Field of Opportunities

On October 10, the Poltava region became the epicenter of agricultural innovation — it hosted the field conference “Agro Forsage 2.0: Full Speed Toward Profit.” For the second year in a row, the AgriLab team gathered leading experts in the agricultural sector, including Yurii Lysak, Chief Agronomist of the Agro-Region Group, to discuss investments and technologies that remain profitable under changing climate conditions.

In addition to the main stage with official openings and panel discussions, participants could visit 10 specialized locations.
There, they explored modern agricultural machinery, research presentations, and practical soil management approaches implemented by the Poltava-Sad enterprise — a company active in various agricultural areas, from crop production and seed farming to vegetable growing.

Under the current climate shifts and water shortages, the topic of technological adaptation has become more relevant than ever. During his panel “Sustainable and Profitable Technologies Under Climate Change,” Yurii Lysak highlighted several key directions:

  • Restoring and organizing irrigation systems;
  • Optimizing crop rotations with a focus on winter and drought-tolerant crops;
  • Reducing tillage intensity — since in conditions of limited moisture, excessive interference only harms the soil.

“Our farm experiments with binary sowing and continuously improves this practice. Thanks to a wide range of research, Poltava-Sad manages to distribute risks wisely — and this allows us not only to stay afloat but to remain profitable,” — summarized Yurii Lysak.

The highlight of the event was a culinary masterclass by Yevhen Klopotenko, a well-known promoter of Ukrainian cuisine. For the first time, he cooked outdoors, inviting guests to prepare together an ancient Ukrainian dish — Shpundra, pork stewed in beet kvass.

Modern challenges require modern solutions. Agro Forsage is not just about speed — it’s about the depth of transformation taking place in today’s agrisphere.
