Employees of the Agro-Region Group of Companies took part in the XVI International Conference “Effective Management of Agro Companies.”
For Agro-Region, participation in the conference was an opportunity to see where global agribusiness is heading and which solutions are already worth implementing in Ukraine.
Our colleagues highlighted the following insights from #LFM25:
• building strong and adaptive teams,
• integrating modern technologies,
• investing in resilience and modernization.
“For Agro-Region, the emphasis on business resilience, digitalization and precision farming, adaptation to EU standards and the development of partnerships was particularly important. It was a valuable experience and a confirmation of the correctness of our course — innovation, transparency, and moving towards the European market,” said Oleksandr Tymoshenko, Commercial Director.
Technological development remains an important focus for the company.
Agro-Region’s COO, Volodymyr Kravtsov, emphasized that one of such solutions could be selective spraying, which was discussed informally during the conference. “This is a promising solution that will help significantly save on working solution through AI-based plant recognition. Of course, it requires investment in the appropriate equipment, but we definitely need to move in this direction,” he added.
Special attention was paid to investments in resilience.
“The idea of adapting agribusiness to new conditions sounded very relevant. We are also changing, constantly improving our skills and deepening our knowledge. For us, investing in development means investing in the future, which must be built today. We are also implementing modern technological solutions in our fields, so it was valuable to hear about new successful cases that can complement our practice. I particularly noted the panel on team management in the new reality: the adaptation of veterans, the formation of new leaders. These are topics already relevant to our company, and we share the key takeaways of this discussion,” added Ivan Andriychuk, Executive Director of Agro-Region’s Kyiv Cluster.
The new reality for agribusiness means high adaptability, adjusting crop rotation structures in line with market conditions, climate, and challenges related to the war, says Agro-Region’s Chief Agronomist, Yuriy Lysak. According to him, the company does not make drastic changes to crop rotation structure but rather optimizes it.
“No matter the conditions, no matter what anyone says, winter crops remain promising. We’ve been growing rapeseed for 5 years in a row, and it ranks among the top in profitability. Sometimes the conditions are more favorable, sometimes we work on the edge, but overall, this crop — like wheat — will definitely remain in our crop rotation,” he noted.
Overall, LFM once again confirmed its status as one of the most powerful business platforms in Europe for the agricultural sector, where producers, investors, startups, and service companies openly shared successes and mistakes, shaped new trends and partnerships. For us, the value lay not only in hearing practical cases and new approaches but also in gaining unique opportunities for networking and professional growth. This year’s conference was dedicated to rethinking agribusiness in the context of global challenges, war threats, and rapid European integration.
Agro-Region looks ahead and acts!
