Agro-Region is sowing rapeseed

All clusters of the Agro-Region Group have started sowing winter rapeseed for the 2026 harvest.

“It should be noted that not all clusters have completed harvesting the spring crops yet, but they have already begun sowing winter rapeseed. This adds extra workload for both machinery and people; however, thanks to the well-coordinated work of all divisions, we will complete sowing on time,” said Chief Agronomist Yuriy Lysak.

According to him, the area allocated for this crop is planned to remain at last year’s level — about 6,000 hectares.

“As of today, about 30% has been sown. Before the start of the sowing campaign, there was a sufficient amount of rainfall, so the seeds are being sown into moist soil, which gives hope for quick and even germination,” he noted.

At the same time, Yuriy Lysak specified that rapeseed is being sown using different technologies — conventional, Strip-till, and No-till.

Sowing is expected to be completed by August 25, which is the optimal timeframe for this crop in the regions where the company grows it.
