Spring planting has begun at Agro-Region

In the three clusters of the Agro-Region Group of Companies, sunflower and corn are now being sown for the 2025 harvest.
This year, the company is returning to its pre-war crop rotation, in particular allocating 15,000 hectares for corn, 7,000 hectares each for sunflower and winter wheat, and 5,000 hectares each for soybeans and winter rapeseed.
“The soil has warmed up enough to begin spring sowing. Given the significant planting volumes of corn and sunflower, we decided to enter the fields at the optimal early dates for our production zones,” says Chief Agronomist Yuriy Lysak.
According to him, the condition of the winter wheat and rapeseed is satisfactory, and the crops are developing according to plan.
“Although last week was critical in terms of temperature conditions and there were concerns about the rapeseed, the crop endured the weather fluctuations with minimal damage to the leaf surface,” he summarizes.
