Winter crops in Agro-Region entered winter in good condition

In the Agro-Region Group of Companies, winter crops have entered the winter season in good condition and are currently in a state of dormancy.
This was noted by Yuriy Lysak, the chief agronomist.
According to him, no critical weather conditions that could affect overwintering have been observed to date. A brief drop in temperature to minus 14 degrees Celsius for one day in the Western cluster had no impact on the crops.
“Currently, there is rain and snow, which is positive as it contributes to the accumulation of natural moisture in the soil. All necessary autumn care operations were completed on time. At present, we are monitoring the condition of the crops and fine-tuning protection and fertilization technologies,” he added.
Yuriy Lysak further clarified that in terms of protection systems, the results of trials of various products on in-house experimental plots are being analyzed, and the best products will be integrated into the industrial technology.
Regarding fertilization, anhydrous ammonia was applied for corn in the fall, along with some nitrogen for spring crops.
“Currently, it is an active period for the engineering team, who are repairing machinery and preparing it for spring fieldwork,” the chief agronomist of Agro-Region concluded.
