This was stated by the Chief Agronomist, Yuriy Lysak.
“All clusters have joined the work, in particular, leveling of the primary tillage—’moisture retention’—is underway. Crops have resumed vegetation, we are monitoring their condition for further development of care measures and keeping an eye out for pests,” he specified.
At the same time, Yuriy Lysak clarifies that over the past five years, a shortage of moisture reserves has been observed in the one-meter soil layer. The main reason is the insufficient amount of precipitation during the autumn-winter period.
“Specifically, from September 1, 2024, to March 1, 2025, less than 200 mm of precipitation fell, whereas in better years, it ranged from 360 to 400 mm. A similar situation occurred in 2020 and 2022. For the company, this is not critical, as they know how to act in such situations,” summarized the Chief Agronomist of Agro-Region.
