Specifically, the students represent the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Uman National University of Horticulture (UNUH), and Illinetsky Agricultural Professional College (Vinnytsia region).
The interns, working as agronomist assistants, are gaining practical experience in three subdivisions of Agro-Region. They will be involved in various agricultural production operations and processes to gain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all agricultural production processes.
“In October, a three-day theoretical module was held with the participation of Dr. Hryhoriy Mykolayovych Hospodarenko, an agricultural scientist, agrochemist, and soil scientist from UNUH. He emphasized modern crop protection and fertilization technologies for the main crops grown in Agro-Region’s fields. At the same time, Bayer’s technical expert Nataliia Skorobahata spoke about the technology of growing corn, and Agro-Region’s chief agronomist Yurii Lysak worked with the students on the practical principles of building a weed control system for corn. In addition, the students were introduced to sunflower cultivation technology, including a video presentation based on previous training sessions,” the company added.
In November, Agro-Region will summarize the results of the AgriSCHOOL participants and make decisions regarding future employment.
“After the theoretical module, everyone received homework. The students are already showing good results, so they have a strong chance of getting a job with our company,” Agro-Region’s chief agronomist Yurii Lysak clarified.
