Agro-Region Returns to Pre-War Corn Crop Rotation
In 2025, the Agro-Region group of companies is returning to its traditional crop rotation.
The Executive Director of the Kyiv Cluster, Ivan Andriychuk, outlined the distribution of land by crop and the main changes compared to the previous year:
- Winter wheat: 1.5 thousand hectares (14.6%) — a decrease of 11% compared to last year;
- Winter rapeseed: 1.1 thousand hectares (10.7%) — an increase of 15% compared to the previous year;
- Soybeans: 1.4 thousand hectares (13.7%) — a one-third reduction in area compared to last year;
- Sunflower: 1.8 thousand hectares (17.6%) — a 50% decrease in area compared to 2024;
- Corn: 4.6 thousand hectares (43.4%) — more than doubling in area compared to the previous year.
“Returning to the traditional crop rotation will allow the company to use resources more efficiently, ensuring stability and increased yields,” says Ivan Andriychuk.
According to him, the company swiftly adapts to fluctuations in agricultural product prices, military risks, and labor shortages, which also influence crop rotation adjustments.
“These factors help us remain adaptable and ensure stable operations amid global challenges,” he concludes.
