The Chernihiv cluster of the Agro-Region Group has joined the fertilization of winter rapeseed, an operation already underway in the Western and Kyiv clusters.
This was noted by Chief Agronomist Yuriy Lysak.
According to him, the Chernihiv cluster is dominated by sandy soils; therefore, three spreaders are operating in two locations where there is minimal risk of nutrient leaching and loss.
“Agricultural operations involve variable-rate fertilizer application. We are applying magnesium sulfate and ammonium sulfate at rates ranging from 50 to 150 kg/ha,” summarizes the chief agronomist.
