The Agro-Region Group has joined the Go2AGRO project, aimed at supporting veterans’ return to civilian life through employment, self-employment, and business development in the agricultural sector.
This was reported by HR Director Khrystyna Pyvovar.
According to her, the agri-food sector is a strategic branch of the economy currently facing a significant labor shortage. As a responsible employer, the company is joining the project to promote the agri-food sector as an attractive field for employment.
“Agro-Region is open to collaborating with veterans, regardless of their previous experience in the agri-food sector. In addition, we provide veterans with free initial legal assistance as part of their integration into our team. Since 2016, the company has also run an educational project, TractorEAST, where program participants acquire skills in operating agricultural machinery and equipment with the help of innovative and advanced technologies, opening up new professional paths,” notes Khrystyna Pyvovar.
The Go2AGRO project’s training programs are designed to prepare highly sought-after skilled workers. Additionally, Superhumans experts have developed a unique “Trauma-Informed Approach” program, which aims to set a behavioral foundation for Ukrainians during and after the war and help society organically integrate wartime trauma into everyday life and communication.
Background: The Go2AGRO project is implemented with USAID support within the AGRO program for agricultural and rural development, executed by Chemonics International, in partnership with a modern medical center specializing in prosthetics, reconstructive and plastic surgery, physical and psychological rehabilitation, education, and reintegration of veterans — Superhumans.
As part of Go2AGRO, the project team will provide consultation to employers on the specifics of hiring and effectively integrating veterans into the workforce. In collaboration with Veteran Hub, they will also assist partner employers in developing or updating policies and procedures to ensure successful veteran integration within companies.
