CROP ROTATION

The cluster prioritizes the cultivation of agricultural crops that are among the top cereals and oilseeds. For the year 2024, the planned crop structure is as follows: corn – 16%, sunflower – 35%, winter wheat – 16%, soybeans – 20%.

YIELD

The Kyiv cluster systematically conducts analysis and soil quality assessment to forecast future yields and determine crop rotation in the respective area. This allows for identifying yield dynamics and promptly adjusting production plans. In 2023, the yield of the main crops was as follows: winter wheat – over 16 thousand tons, winter rapeseed – over 3 thousand tons, sunflower – over 10 thousand tons.

SOILS

The lands of the Borispil region are predominantly dark gray, podzolized, and typical chernozems, which allows for effectively utilizing their fertility, while crop rotation promotes the rational use of soil quality characteristics. pH level: optimal – 50%, slightly acidic soils – 15%, alkaline soils – 35%. The average humus content ranges from 2.1 to 3.5%

CULTIVATION

The Kyiv cluster engages in crop cultivation using a differentiated approach to soil cultivation, pest protection systems, and fertilization, allowing for flexible crop rotation approaches. Chemical soil amelioration is employed to improve the physical, chemical properties of soils, their chemical composition, liming, phosphorization, and gypsum application.

EQUIPMENT

The Kyiv cluster within the Agro-Region Group utilizes agricultural machinery from leading manufacturers such as Horsch, Case, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, Amazone, Lemken, Gaspardo, Pottinger, Kinze, and others. The use of modern equipment contributes to minimizing labor time, high-quality soil cultivation, productivity, and crop yields, ensuring profitability.

TECHNOLOGIES

The cluster advocates for precision agriculture, accompanied by the application of cutting-edge technologies, which show a positive trend in soil cultivation and enable timely decision-making, reducing the production costs of agricultural products. The Crop Monitoring satellite analytics system provides the ability to track production processes in real-time and capture images for further analysis.

INVESTMENTS

The Kyiv cluster demonstrates a high level of proactivity in investment projects and engages in discussions on agricultural issues during times of martial law. It promotes agriculture among foreign business partners, organizes events to attract investors, implements cutting-edge technologies, and adopts the experience of foreign colleagues.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

LLC “Agro-Region Boryspil” actively collaborates with territorial communities on social and economic levels of cooperation. The company seeks to balance the interests of territorial communities with the implementation of business ideas and plans, contributing to the replenishment of local budgets. Active employment of rural residents provides them with jobs and wages, which are average in conditions of martial law in Ukraine. Involving local residents in agricultural work supports the traditions and customs of Ukraine, where the agricultural sector is a priority area of the economy.
