In Agro-Region, they are considering the issue of attracting labor migrants

19. 12. 24

In the Agro-Region Group of Companies, the issue of attracting labor migrants is being considered as one of the possible ways to address the staff shortage.

However, several factors influence this decision, notes HR Director Khrystyna Pyvovar.

Among them are:

  • Bureaucratic challenges. Ukrainian legislation is currently quite inflexible regarding the employment of foreign workers. The process of document preparation requires significant time and resources.

  • Additional costs. Labor migrants need to be provided with comfortable living conditions, which creates additional financial burdens for the company.

  • Cultural adaptation. Workers’ adaptation to a new mentality and overcoming language barriers require investments in training and time for integration into the team.

  • Recruitment costs. The financial expenses for finding, hiring, and retaining labor migrants significantly exceed the standard hiring process.

“We are open to this step, but successful implementation requires simplified legislative norms for foreign workers and state support in integrating labor migrants into work teams,” adds Khrystyna Pyvovar.
