In the Agro-Region Group of Companies, winter crops are in good condition despite the temperature fluctuations in March and below-average precipitation.
This was reported by Chief Agronomist Yuriy Lysak.
“All planned agrotechnological measures have been carried out on winter wheat. The crop is actively tillering, and we are waiting for the stem elongation phase and the application of nitrogen fertilizers. As for winter rapeseed, the growth point is beginning to extend. In clusters with predominantly sandy soils, we are conducting a second application of UAN and implementing pest control measures,” he clarified.
Yuriy Lysak also adds that in most clusters, the set of measures for “moisture retention” has been nearly completed, and engineers, in collaboration with agronomists, are finalizing the preparation of seeders for field work.
“If favorable weather and climate conditions persist, we plan to begin sowing in the first ten days of April,” he concluded.
