This was stated by Commercial Director Oleksandr Tymoshenko.
According to him, several factors contributed to this, including the company’s fleet of grain wagons, which ensures flexibility in planning and fixed transportation costs.
Overall, Agro-Region transports the bulk of its agricultural products by rail and road to ports, from where the grain is exported by sea.
“As of today, 58,000 tons of grain and oilseeds have been exported, with over 60,000 tons remaining to be exported, including 30,000 tons each of corn and wheat,” Oleksandr Tymoshenko noted.
He also added that the most profitable crops this year were sunflower and rapeseed.
“Prices are better compared to previous years, but considering historically high prices, there is still hope for even higher rates,” Tymoshenko summarized.
Reference: Agro-Region operates 40 grain wagons, 25 of which are hopper wagons acquired through the USAID Economic Resilience Activity grant program. This allowed the company to leverage its own funds and invest in an additional 15 wagons.
