The Chernihiv Cluster of Agro-Region Supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Blood Donation

28. 09. 24

The Chernihiv cluster of the Agro-Region Group of Companies has been participating in blood donation throughout the year.

This was shared by the cluster’s head, Kateryna Moroz.

“In early September 2023, I saw a promotional video by the Chernihiv Blood Center titled ‘Your Blood Can Fight.’ At that time, blood centers were providing mobile teams for blood collection. For us, with seasonal 24-hour production, this was a great offer. It also helped that at that time there was a blood collection point in Kozelets at the Central District Hospital, and they agreed to collaborate with us,” she noted.

At the same time, Kateryna Moroz added that under such circumstances, the employees of Agro-Region in Kozelets were the ones who largely participated in the blood donation campaign since they didn’t face initial issues with blood collection. In Borzna, they were only able to organize such a donation once.

“We are not stopping. We’ve already tried collaborating with the Chernihiv Blood Center. Over the course of this year, we’ve formed a permanent team of 9 employees, and the overall donor list in our division today includes 28 people. Throughout the year, we have replenished the bank with 24.45 liters of blood,” Kateryna Moroz clarified.

According to her, if there is a will to participate in blood donation, it will be successful—of course, provided there are no critical warnings or contraindications.

“Among us is an honored donor, our mechanic Anatolii Mykhailovych Teteruk, who has been donating blood regularly for decades. The preparation involves temporary restrictions on consuming certain foods and medications, as well as lifestyle adjustments. In reality, it’s not difficult, so, like my colleagues, I encourage everyone to join in!” Kateryna Moroz concluded.
