Agro-Region Group, as the host enterprise, is participating in a unique international project that brings together the world\u2019s leading experts to analyse, optimise, and enhance the efficiency of Ukrainian agricultural enterprises \u2013 the Field Agro-Consilium.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe purpose of participating in this project is to improve our knowledge and technologies, to receive an independent assessment of where we can enhance our agronomic approaches, which will allow us to increase yields and profitability of the crops we grow,\u201d<\/em> says Yurii Lysak, Chief Agronomist.<\/p>\n \n According to him, three different production fields with high, medium, and low yield potential in the Kyiv cluster will be visited by independent experts from various countries \u2013 the USA, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, and others. They will provide their recommendations on what to focus on and what aspects can be improved, taking into account the soil and climate conditions.<\/p>\n \n \u201cThis kind of discussion is very valuable for us. They speak quite frankly about their evaluations. The Agro-Region agronomy team has already visited two other enterprises within the framework of the Field Consilium. The experts noted the high quality of our soils and technologies but also pointed out the excessively intensive soil tillage,\u201d<\/em> adds Yurii Lysak.<\/p>\n \n For several years now, Agro-Region has been reducing ploughing volumes, applying organic fertilisers and soil amendments, and expanding areas under cover crops to balance the soil\u2019s macro- and micronutrient content, aiming to improve efficiency and results.<\/p>\n \n
